The art you choose for your living room becomes part of everyday life. It is there during quiet mornings, shared meals, long conversations and evenings with friends. More than something to fill an empty wall, the right artwork can give the room its character - and make your home feel unmistakably yours.
This collection brings together original living room wall art by contemporary South African artists. You will find paintings, drawings, handmade prints and sculptural works in a range of sizes, styles and price points, from quietly expressive pieces to large statement artworks that hold the room. To help you picture each piece beyond the gallery page, every artwork in this collection is shown hanging in a living-room setting. These room views give you a clearer sense of its scale, presence and relationship with furniture, colour and space. You can see whether it would create a strong focal point above a sofa, bring interest to a smaller wall or sit comfortably alongside the objects you already live with. The room setting is there to help you imagine the possibilities, but it need not dictate your choice. Art does not have to match your cushions or follow a decorating formula. Choose the work you want to keep looking at - the one that brings something meaningful, intriguing or simply beautiful into the room.
