Sell Your Art
Are you an artist producing exciting work? Showcase your talent on StateoftheART!
StateoftheART is the online platform helping talented emerging artists from South African artists get discovered. We help any artist living and working in South Africa expand their network and promote their practice.
Here's how it works:simply download the Application Form which can be found under the 'Join'
button on the main menu, and submit examples of your work. Learn more by visiting our Artist FAQ's
offers clients a 'Resale
' listings service to meet the needs of collectors of emerging South African art wishing to divest works from their personal collections. There is no cost to you if we do not sell your artwork.
How does StateoftheART select its resale inventory?
StateoftheART works with a curatorial panel to review resale submissions and selects only those contemporary artworks that complement our gallery's primary market inventory. To be accepted for listing, artworks must be by one of our represented artists, or by an early career South African artist whose work is interesting, provocative, and beautiful – though not necessarily always all at the same time. We will not accept commercial work for resale.
What is StateoftheART's commission structure?
The commission structure at StateoftheART is straightforward, fair and no-nonsense. Since the prices are fixed, there is no mystery or confusion regarding who gets how much.
It’s simple: consignors will pay a commission of 20% on sale amounts below R20,000 and 15% of the amount above R20,000
If you are interested in consigning an artwork, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
