Artwork Description
Deep blue and black lines sweep across the surface of Midnight, forming a rugged landscape of steep slopes and shadowed valleys. Two buck heads, drawn in pale linear marks, appear within the darkness, while a soft blue orb hangs between the distant peaks.
Balekane Legoabe digitally layers animal motifs, landscape forms and repeated strokes to create an image with the tactile character of drawing. The buck heads seem to emerge briefly from the surrounding shadows, their fine white lines contrasting with the dense, almost ink-black ground. The moon-like circle introduces a calm focal point within the otherwise restless terrain.
This digital artwork is printed on 200gsm True Fibre Matt paper and numbered 1 from an edition of 3. Presented in a white frame, Midnight measures 50 x 50 cm framed.
