There is a lovely looseness to Ink Drop, with Pascale Chandler building the horse and rider from washes of green, turquoise, violet and earthy brown. Marks gather and overlap, leaving parts of the figures clearly recognisable while others seem to disappear into colour.

Working on Yupo allows Chandler to balance chance with control. Ink pools, bleeds and settles across the smooth surface, creating unexpected edges and shifts in tone. The horse seems to be caught mid-stride, giving the work a sense of movement without the need for precise detail.
