A profound melancholy and yearning permeates "Pad na Verlange." I completed this piece during a period of inner turbulence, deliberately employing rougher drawing techniques to convey my emotional struggle. The intricately entangled roots adorning the left hillside symbolize my deep connection to nature - my sanctuary amid turmoil.
This work explores finding peace amidst the longing evoked by open roads and their unknown destinations. It captures the ache for what once was and what could never be, the hollow absence of those now beyond reach after familiar drives, and ultimately, a yearning so profound it transcends verbal expression.
