Artist Notes:
"My pigeon and dove series of birds perched on bonsai trees incorporates many of the themes, ideas and sources of inspiration that shape my practice. The pure delight and celebration of the beauty of birds and the colourful creativity in their plumage continues to captivate me. Another being the relationship between nature and man - in these works, man’s collaboration with nature to shape and form the bonsai. And lastly, my delight in still life, specifically in the aesthetic of the east seen in the bonsai bowl."
