Artwork Description
There's something wonderfully inviting about a path disappearing into a forest. In 'Earthly Delights', Karen Wykerd takes us into a sun-dappled woodland, where a solitary figure stands among tall trees and lush undergrowth, seemingly taking a moment to enjoy the surroundings.
Karen's lively brushwork captures the shifting light beautifully. Flecks of pale yellow, soft green and cream filter through the canopy, while deeper blues and earthy browns give the forest floor its rich texture. Look closely and you'll notice how the figure almost blends into the landscape, giving a lovely sense of scale to the towering trees.
This original South African landscape painting will appeal to anyone who enjoys walking in nature and knows the pleasure of finding a quiet spot away from the everyday bustle. Painted in acrylic on board, Earthly Delights is presented in a natural kiaat wood frame, ready to hang.
