Artist Description

'In Die Vertes Van Gister' is part of the Nuances series that subtly represents the natural landscape as a memory instead of reality, as humankind ceases to curb pollution, abuse of resources and the impact of industry. The failure of our governments and energy companies to utilize renewable energy sources - which could also power electric cars - are endangering the livelihoods of farmers and the health of animals in areas like the Karoo, where fracking (hydraulic fracturing) poses a great threat in the form of water poisoning and air pollution, all in the pursuit of a exhaustible amount of gas. The photographs taken and used in the creation of this artwork were taken in the Northern Cape, South Africa, the Karoo, and the N7 traveling past Citrusdal and a Quiver Tree forest.

This limited edition print can be shipped cost effectively in a document cylinder to international destinations.
