Full title: Oudekraal View of Lion's Head
"I have been hosting some Plein Air painting workshops with an artist and experienced painter friend Inge Semple. We went to Oudekraal to "scope out the scene" before one of our all-day painting workshops, and we both painted this view, from slightly different spots, and with very different mediums - me oils, Inge watercolour. I positioned myself happily under a tree, and enjoyed the banter and laughter of a large group nearby. My painting process was of much interest to this group, and Inge and I had some lovely conversations about painting, composition and plein air."
