Artwork Description
Overlapping bucks gather beneath a sweeping arch of deep blue, their dark bodies pressed closely together while their heads turn in different directions. Fine white lines, scattered dashes and blurred marks move around them like falling rain, giving Shower a strong sense of energy and motion.
Balekane built this work digitally, combining layered animal imagery with drawn textures and repeated patterns. The restricted palette of cobalt, navy, black and white creates a dramatic contrast: the bucks appear solid against the fluid marks surrounding them, while the large circular form above holds the movement together.
This limited-edition digital artwork is produced as an archival pigment print on 200gsm True Fibre Matt paper. Numbered 1 from an edition of 3, it is presented in a white frame and measures 50 x 67 cm framed.
