This piece examines my connection with an environment that is seemingly untouched by human hand. Man has passed through but left no visible mark. Cliffs tower over the artist, benevolent for the moment. It calls to mind what would happen in a deluge or catastrophic flood. How vulnerable a human would be in this prehistoric land.
With this artwork, I am asking the viewer to reconsider what surrounds us, recalibrate the value of the space, rethink their lifestyle and the impact that it has on landscapes that have existed for eons.
