Artist notes:
"The idea of water and its mark is used in my work to refer to the metaphoric ebb and flow of life: the departure and return or the swirling of emotion and experience. Being in the natural world brings about a presence or mindful attention to the immediate environment, where I am not overcome by the world. I can watch the movement of water for ages without being aware of time or having other thoughts."
