Poolside is Mila’s 4th solo exhibition with StateoftheART.

As the title suggests, the works in this collection have water as a central theme.

"I wanted these paintings to have a joyful slant, and it is difficult not to be happy around a swimming pool. Something happens to people when they are close to water, a certain lightness, and I wanted to capture that." - Mila Posthumus


While still painted in her usual muted, moody pallet, these paintings conjure up sun soaked swimming pools, retro resort living and midnight skinny dips.
