Need to know: the artist has deliberately cut the paper to image size.
I get all my images from my walks over the weekends. The technique I used for these images, is called transfer monotype. I ink up a surface and then place the Fabriano paper face down onto the ink patch. Next I draw the image onto the back of the paper. This transfers the image onto the front of the paper. When you lift the paper off the ink patch, you are left with the negative or dark image on the plate. I then work more into this negative image, place another piece of paper onto the ink and hand print the image onto it.
