Artist Description

Need to know: this artwork requires framing behind glass.

This drawing transpires from the process of my upcoming series Moving Mountains, which shares my time in South Korea through a series of 10 drawings, created as responses to a series of 10 video recordings each communicating a portion of 1 out of 10 hikes. I ended up taking a few photographs on some of these hikes, and have decided to use them for another collection of drawings, of which this one forms a part, that operate as stills or entities standing out from the movement of the series. In continuing with my focus on the influence of space, of which time forms a great part (without conforming perfectly to it), I have jotted down the times of when I started and stopped working. Here I enjoy it as an aesthetic component more than anything else, and as a means of connecting this piece to the whole.
